SLAC Public Lecture: Quantum Lightswitch – A New Direction in Ultrafast Electronics

In this SLAC public lecture, Joshua Turner, a staff scientist at SLAC’s Linac Coherent Light Source X-ray laser, talks about what research in manipulating atoms’ electrons could imply for computer data storage and retrieval.

Turner received a doctoral degree in experimental condensed matter physics from the University of Oregon, a master’s degree in physics from Boston University, and bachelor’s degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Lecturer: Joshua Turner, SLAC.

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is one of 10 Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science laboratories and is operated by Stanford University on behalf of the DOE.
