Deep Mind, the artificial intelligence that Google’s parent company Alphabet is developing, can now learn new stuff by analyzing events that are already in its memory.

Google calls the method Differential Neural Computer (DNC) and it involves linking a neural network with data that is stored on traditional computers. AI can then navigate and learn through from the external database which it has been linked to.

Is this a major milestone in on the way to self aware artificial intelligence?
