Nobel Prize: Announcement | Literature 2016

The Swedish Academy will announce this year’s Nobel Laureate in literature at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 13 in the Grand Hall in the Exchange. The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2016 is awarded to Bob Dylan “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”.  

Nobel Prize: Lectures | 2015 Nobel Lecture in Literature

The Nobel Prize in Literature 2015 was awarded to Svetlana Alexievich “for her polyphonic writings, a monument to suffering and courage in our time”. Transcripts of Svetlana Alexievich’s Nobel lecture “On the Battle Lost” is available in English, Swedish; French, German and Russian.  

Nobel Prize Announcement: Literature 2015

The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2015 is awarded to the Belarusian author Svetlana Alexievich “for her polyphonic writings, a monument to suffering and courage in our time”. The Prize was announced by Sara Danius, Permanent Secretary of the Swedish Academy.  

Nobel Prize: Lectures | 2014 Nobel Prize in Literature

The 2014 Nobel Prize in Literature lecture will take place at Svenska Akademien in Stockholm, Sweden at 17:30, Sunday 7 December. The Nobel Prize in Literature 2014 was awarded to Patrick Modiano “for the art of memory with which he has evoked the most ungraspable human destinies and uncovered the life-world of the occupation”.
