The Landsat satellite program: Forty years of our planet, from space

Today NASA celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Landsat satellite program. The program consists of a a series of Earth-observing satellite missions which are jointly managed by NASA and the United States Geological Survey. And since 1972 the landsat satellites have collected information about Earth from their orbit in space.
